A friend in Germany recently had her Z3 written off and literally walked away with only a minor back injury. It happened as she was travelling at about 80km/h (50 mph) on a wet autobahn in heavy traffic.
A driver emerged from a slip road but didn't see the Z3. The collision spun the Z3 around and caused it to collide with the crash barrier in the centre of the autobahn.
This example just goes to show the benefits of the safety features that are designed into BMWs.
